Fire Pit Update: Cowboy Cookout

In an earlier post, we talked about the essential and affordable nature of a good fire pit. Early this month we field tested another unforgettable experience that's only a little bit of light landscaping away.

After leveling out the ground in a picturesque spot near the water and outfitting our pit with a custom iron cooking grate, we put our lakeside cooking spot to the test with a hearty breakfast for six.

Although we used it for breakfast, this fire pit is also a perfect spot for s'mores, rustic dinners, or classic cookout fair like hamburgers, hotdogs, and BBQ.
