There are many top-of-the-line methods for building a cabin, and all of them offer their distinct advantages and draw backs. Today we're looking at the beautiful, versatile timber frame cabin.

Timber frame cabins are an incredibly popular building choices. While the impressive, exposed posts and beams are equal remind us of a rustic log home, the houses interior and exterior are built more traditionally. This means that plumbing and electrical will be much easier to put in.
In addition, unlike a log home, a timber frame cabin will not run into any settling timber issues, due to its traditional construction.
So what are the disadvantages of building a timber frame cabin? When compared to a log home, it ultimately just comes down to style. Timber frame cabins are incredibly versatile and low maintenance, so even if it's slightly less of an attention-grabber, its incredibly easy to make your timber frame cottage into a one-of-a-kind dream home.
