Black Fox Classics: Eye-Catching Accents

If you've read our recent design diaries, it's obvious that even the smallest details can work to define a space. By giving your cabin a strong aesthetic through-line, you not only make the countless design decisions easier, but help create a unique identity for your summer home.

When building a cabin, the design choices can feel endless, and making them all work together almost impossible. However, letting a few design elements carry through your cottage will let your home feel cool and collected instead of cluttered up.

By selecting a few unique accents or centerpieces, it's easy to incorporate their design philosophies across a cabin- especially when its a brand new build.

In the above examples, a rustic wooden pattern is being used to potentially inspire one of the doors in a clients' cabins. While that busy design may seem like something that could quickly become overkill, its spirit can be pulled into the kitchen with something like a herringbone back splash (below).

While they're beautiful features on their own, they're even more so when used together.
