Lakeside Landscaping: Walking The Trails

When putting together your dream home, not every detail has to be a bank breaker. Although it may not be flashy, focusing on the spaces between your favorite places at the cottage is just as valuable an any expensive additions.

At the Treehouse cabin in the Lake of the Woods region, the cottage was built to embrace the rugged, rocky outcrop that it was built on. Trying to make your way from the cabin to the boat dock proved to be a little more dangerous however, with the only path to the water being a steep, slick descent.
With minimal material costs and a lot of hard work however, this hazardous trail was built up into a clean, even, and most importantly safe trail that connects the whole property to the water, and offers a picturesque view on the way there.
The trail is also lit with understated solar lights, allowing the cabin goers a well-lit path on the way back home after a sunset cruise.
