Storm Bay Build Update #1: Getting Started

With summer officially in the rearview, cabin building season is in full swing, and with it comes a brand new slate of dream homes. One of our most exciting projects is located Storm Bay, where the client's garage will soon boast a million dollar view.

Starting your construction with a garage is a savvy choice for a number of reasons- it can function as equal parts shelter, storage space and machine shop not only for the owners, but for protecting valuable tools and materials through the construction process as well.
In the interest of killing two birds with stone, many cottage owners decide to add a second floor bunkie that serves as a starter cabin during the construction process, and a guest cabin for visitors further down the line. If you have a garage with a view like this one, don't be surprised to find yourself spending a few nights down there even after the cabin is finished.
